Trappers Sushi Now Open on Tacoma's Sixth Avenue

The popular sushi restaurant with locations in Bonney Lake and Puyallup will open in Tacoma at 3118 6th Avenue this May.

Tacoma's Sixth Avenue has an exciting new addition: Trappers Sushi.

The sushi restaurant celebrated its first day of business on July 2, 2013.

The restaurant is located at 3118 Sixth Ave, the former home of Overtime Bar and Grill. Trappers was the best kept secret in Bonney Lake until 2004, followed by locations in Puyallup, Covington and Kent Station.

Anyone who has been to Trappers Sushi will tell you this: it's a lot more special than your typical sashimi and roll variety.

Sue Kidd from The Tacoma News Tribune described it as "mini meals rolled up inside sushi rice and nori, with cascading flavors and ingredients," a "modern American" take on fusion food.

Even if you aren't a big fan of sushi--give it a shot. I was a converter after lunch at the Bonney Lake location!

Must Try: Keep it local with the Puyallup Roll (salmon, avocado and cream cheese roll topped with special sauces and green onion!) or the Bonney Lake roll (crystal shrimp, cream cheese fried in tempura, covered in spicy crab and hot sauces).

See the full take-out menu online and "like" Trappers Sushi on Facebook for special deals and promotions.
