E-MAIL TO THE EDITOR: Facebook User Hopes To Reunite Loose Dog With Owner

The user tells Patch that a large black dog has been running in the Chambers Creek Road area since late December.

University Place Patch Facebook user Tabitha posted the following message on our page today:

Are you missing a large black dog, maybe German sherperd, in the University Place area? The dog has been running the Chambers Creek Rd since Dec. 27, he is injured would love to get him/her help and home safely!! Please message me if you have any info.

Thanks for letting us know Tabitha. Hope we can get this four-legged pal home.

Wait, don't we have Animal Control still? If the dog is injured, Animal control should be notified so they can pick the dog up and take it to the Humane Society so he/she can get treatment for his/her injuries. Injured dogs are often protective ones. If someone approaches it, they may get bitten simply out of fear. Then the dog will have to be put down. What a sad situation... Poor dog.
