FYI FOR U.P. RESIDENTS... I live off Cirque and Elwood. In the last month we had a few break-ins in the area, and yesterday we had a suspicious looking man in our neighborhood claiming to be from CenturyLink. Our neighbor called CenturyLink because the person was acting very suspicious and they didn't know who the person was. She also called the non-emergency number for the police. It appears he only approached houses that had no vehicles in the driveway. This info was posted onΒ Keep Our City Named University PlaceΒ and there have been a few comments from people in the area who have had a "CenturyLink" representative come to their home.

One of the people who commented, as well as my neighbor, both had similar encounters. The person didn't try to sell anything, just kept asking questions. If a representative from a company or if somebody suspicious comes to your home, be sure to call the company to verify, as well as the non-emergency number. Be aware.
