14 Days down and 16lbs lighter!
It really shouldn’t be called a “fast”.
Really it’s replacing all the processed foods that I eat all the time with just fruits and veggies. I am not hungry and complaining for food…(YES I AM. I really want some chili cheese tots from SONIC) but I am not curled up in a ball and in agony with a growling stomach.
The energy level is up. I am getting up better in the morning. I am so not a morning person (normally have 3 alarms set and the foot from my wife to get me up cause she is sick of the alarms). I said that I was going to continue drinking coffee, but I am only drinking one cup instead of the normal through the entire day. The cost of making juice is a bummer, but I am not eating out for lunch during the week which is always 10 bucks, and all the extra snacks throughout the week (chips and a red bull from 7/11)
Demeanor and attitude is what really surprised me. My wife says that I am nicer and more helpful (WHAT!!!!! I had to yell after she said that), which really makes me scratch my head. Does the meat or fried foods or chips benefit me/us that much? This makes me understand more why vegetarians are vegetarians however, I can’t give up bacon or burgers, fried chicken and chips. This does justify the need to have a true plant- and fruit-based diet. Justifying and doing it are different things. Up until this point I give up way before this. However this seems to be having an immediate effect in a positive light and that can’t be an accident…Right??
Downside? I might need to buy new pants they are getting pretty loose. I am on the first notch on my belt and I can’t get it any tighter so I might need to buy a new belt too.
I did make a fail. I didn’t get any workouts last week, but I will this week because I think I am starting to plateau on weight loss.
Goals for this week: Run at least 1 mile at Chambers (not the full loop yet) 3 times in 7 days
Another week to go. Thinking about changing the 30 days into 60 days. (Thinking!!! I want to go to the new buffet)
Anyone thinking about trying this??
