Big "Doins" at This Year's Duck Daze Parade - Saturday, June 2

Calling all UP elementary school kids to walk in the Duck Daze parade with Donald and Daisy Duck! It will be a whole new world this year.

One of the great things we do here in University Place is the annual Duck Daze Parade.

This year is no different.

Planning is well under way and the planners this year have something very special for this parade. The Disney characters will be here for children of all ages!

Donald and Daisy Duck will be leading children who participate in the parade down Bridgeport with some other "special" surprises as the Disney characters make their first appearance at our parade.

We are asking the children who would like to march in the parade with the characters to dress up in their best Disney costume and hand out candy as we make our way down Bridgeport. Kids can dress up as ANY Disney character they would like which includes all of the traditional characters plus any from the Disney movies.  Here are a few we would love to see:

Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, Nemo from Finding Nemo, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine from Alladin, Woody from Toy Story, Tow-mater from Cars, Snow White, Cinderella and the list goes on.

Locally owned Hawkins-Poe Real Estate along with Directors Mortgage are sponsoring the Disney characters this year.  If you have a child that would like to participate in this year's parade, please contact either of the following people:

Jim Perry of Hawkins-Poe Real Estate at 253-241-6296 or Heather Hendrix of Directors Mortgage at 253-576-5757 for more information.

Flyers will also be handed out at all the University Place elementary schools the first week of May for more info as well.

We look forward to a successful parade and fun time for all.
