Celebrate Fourth of July at Tacoma Freedom Fair

Tacoma's annual Fourth of July Freedom Fair on Ruston Way kicks off at 10 a.m. on July 4.

Tacoma's annual Fourth of July Freedom Fair on Ruston Way is back this Thursday.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m. on July 4 and wraps up around 10:30 p.m. with a fireworks show.

The event also includes an airshow, pole vaulting, kids activities, car show, live music, food booths and more!

Tacoma Freedom Fair Airshow

Between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. the Tacoma Freedom Fair Airshow will take to the skies over Commencement Bay with some of the best aviation acts in the country.

For a prime location to view the air show go to Marine Park between the Lobster Shop and Katie Downs. VIP seating and Airshow Cruise are also available. KLAY 1180 AM will broadcast the air show live. 

A suggested donation will be collected at the entry gate.

Tacoma's 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza

The fireworks show begins at 10:10 p.m. The display will be synchronized to a soundtrack broadcast from sound system on the Les Davis Pier, from several stages, and on Click 98.9 FM and KLAY AM 1180, so bring a radio.

Traffic

Ruston Way will be closed to traffic on July 4. Drivers are asked to avoid Schuster Parkway and the intersection of McCarver Street and North 30th Street.

Event goers are recommended to park for free at either the TCC Park & Ride or the Tacoma Dome Station and take the bus through the Express Bus Service

If you prefer to drive to the Freedom Fair and park on the waterfront, access to the public parking on Ruston Way from the Ferdinand Street entrance only. 

Parking passes are $15 and suggested individual entry donations are $2 for anyone under age 16, $5.00 for people age 16 and over, and $15 for families. (This is a pet-free event.)
