I Pity The Fool ...

** This is my personal opinion. You may or may not agree with me, which is your right **

"I Pity The Fool ..."  Mr. T. sure had a way with words, lol.

I wouldn't have thought I'd be using such a statement as his in anything other than jesting, but now.... Well, life is FULL of surprises!

Never in my life would I have thought that University Place Mayor Ken Grassi would endorse the likes of eric choiniere, but after reading in a post here to UP Patch yesterday that claimed eric had "earned the support of UP Mayor Ken Grassi...", I had to ask Mayor Grassi if it was true. Indeed, it is true. His reasons, many of which in my view don't hold water, are mainly that he feels sorry for eric at having hit pieces thrown at him in eric's failed bid for the legislative seat won by now Senator Steve O'Ban. So in other words, Ken's reason is ... PITY. NOT that eric's opponent might be the better candidate, for as far as I know Ken hasn't even spoken to candidate Steve Worthington in depth. NOT that eric was better qualified, which he isn't, unless you count the fact that he IS a great whiner (about having hit pieces printed in the paper). Not that eric wasn't inclined to do the same to his opponent when he first ran for UP city council, but I digress. Endorsing someone because you feel anything other than confident in the candidate's abilities is ludicrous. It's rather like voting for someone because he's better looking than the opposition. (A co-worker once confessed to me of doing just THAT during one election years ago). How pathetic!

Ken, I am ashamed of your choice. You should know better!
