The National Weather Service has issued advisories concerning winter weather, wind and flooding in Pierce County.

Don't forget to pack your umbrella and rain boots Tuesday. The National Weather Service announced today that there is a high chance of rain and possible flooding Tuesday and Wednesday.

A winter weather advisory, in effect until 4 p.m. today, is for 3 to 6 inches of snow in the Cascades down to 2,500 feet. The wind advisory will run from 7 this evening until noon Tuesday.

South winds are expected from 20-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. These winds could break branches and topple shallow rooted trees and cause power outages.
