Roller Derby Championships Coming To Pierce College Saturday

In the championship, the undefeated Marauding Mollys enter their first championship bout in Dockyard Derby Dames history against reigning champs the Trampires.

  • WHEN: Saturday. Doors open at 5 pm, with the first bout starting at 6 pm.
  • WHERE: Health Ed Center, Lakewood
  • TICKETS: $12 in advance at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ or $15 at the door. $10 for 6 – 12 years-old or with a military ID. Kids age 5 and under are Free; A portion of the proceeds benefit The Humane Society, http://www.thehumanesociety.org/

The biggest roller derby bout of the year is here! Through a season of broken bones, bruised egos and battered dreams, two teams have emerged to claim victory at Tacoma's Roller Derby Championships this Saturday at Pierce College in Lakewood.

First up is the grudge match for third and fourth place, where the Femme Fianna are still vying for their first win of the season as they take on the Hellbound Homewreckers.

Next, for the main event of the night the undefeated Marauding Mollys enter their first championship bout in Dockyard Derby Dames history against reigning champs the Trampires.

Just outside the venue, Three Chicks Catering will be serving up BBQ pork, hamburgers, hotdogs and other exciting grilled items. For the 21-and-up crowd, Dockyard's popular beer garden will be flowing. Get to the bout early to secure a seat. Doors open at 5 p.m, opening ceremonies start at 6 p.m.
