Fircrest Pool Reopens For One Day Saturday

The pool - located at the Roy H. Murphy Community Center at 555 Contra Costa Ave. - will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In response to requests from the public, the City of Fircrest will reopen its popular swimming pool for one day this weekend.

The pool will be open for one session on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. The Roy H. Murphy Community Center is located at 555 Contra Costa Ave.

"Several citizens contacted us this week and asked if we could reopen the pool during this beautiful stretch of warm and sunny weather," said Jeff Grover, director of Fircrest Parks and Recreation. "We're able to assemble the staff and supplies for a one-day opening.Β  We hope people will share the news and come join us for a final day of family fun to close out our summer season at the pool."
