The List: Gettin' Fishy

We have excellent access to fresh and delicious seafood. With the summer fishing forecast showing plentiful and outstanding fishing locally, there will be lots of fish to buy and enjoy. Let's get hooked.

It's not a true South Sound summer until you have some flavorful, local salmon on the grill.

If you are an angler, this summer is for you. According to The Seattle Times , the fish run is going to be plentiful, even into the fall season. Fall chinook salmon is expected to be better than average (which will bode well for next year) and summer chinook will have a record amount of fish. Coho salmon numbers look great for the summer. Pink salmon numbers are way up for this season, too, in fact, so much so, it's going to be a record breaking season.

Don't worry, non-anglers. You don't even need to break out a pole. We have some great seafood businesses right around is to keep us well-stocked for delicious (and nutrious!) summer fare. Patch takes a look.
