The Lefty's Guy Gets Some Pants

Day Island artist Angie Capps turned the blank canvas that is the Lefty's Burger Shack sign into a masterpiece today.

The rather-plain guy welcoming drivers-by to finally got some pants, and they're pretty sheek if he does say so himself.

The University Place restaurant that opened last month and has already become a popular spot among locals got Day Island artist Angie Capps to give add some color (and clothes) to its blank, human-shaped sign.

For weeks, the grey man has been waving to passers-by rather plainly, looking gray and without any personality.

But that changed today when Capps - whose work you can see by visiting her website - painted bright red shorts on his midsection and his surfboard yellow.
