Local Business Owners Can Get Local During The University Place Tree Lighting

Businesses can reserve booths that will line Market Square during the community's annual Christmas celebration.

University Place is giving its local businesses a chance to showcase their stuff during its annual holiday celebration.

The city is hosting a "Get Local" Business Fest during the annual University Place Christmas Tree Lighting event, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3.

According to the city, this event is a terrific opportunity for owners to showcase their businesses, which will occupy booths lined along Market Square (the paved area between City Hall and the University Place Library). It's asking businesses to pass out candy, as the city usually has 2,000 or so people in attendance, many of whom are children. We know it will be cold outside so dress warmly and feel free to pass out promotional items or information about your company at your booth.
