Girish to Perform at Source Yoga in University Place

Sanskrit performer and musician Girish will sing heart-opening chants during a special all-levels class on Saturday, March 23 at Source Yoga in University Place.

If you're still waiting for yoga to stir something in your heart, a special weekend class featuring Sanskrit performer Girish might be just what you've been waiting for.

Girish will be singing his heart-opening chants live during an all-levels class at Source Yoga in University Place, taught by Amy Petty, E-RYT, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Class will end with a Sanskrit lullaby during Savasana. The cost is $25 for non-members.

All are welcome to join Girish for an evening concert at 7 p.m. directly following the class. The cost is also $25 (member discounts apply) at the door, or $20 in advance. This concert is sponsored by yogajoyproject.

Girish is an eclectic artist with roots in jazz, world, and sacred music. His instruments include tablas, world percussion, guitar, harmonium and voice. (Learn more on Girish's website.)
