You Can Meet Renowned Artists At The UP Library

Outdoors photographer Alan Bauer and novelist Li Miao Lovett will offer artistic eyes at the library over the next two weeks.

University Place residents will get the chance to meet two renowned local artists over the next few weeks at the community's .

First, Alan L. Bauer, known for outdoor photography, will speak about his published hiking guides that feature his highly touted work at 7 p.m., March 31.

Then, internationally acclaimed author Li Miao Lovett will give a multimedia presentation and discuss her new novel set in China, "In the Lap of the Gods." Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

People will meet an author/photographer and a novelist during free events at University Place Pierce County Library, 3609 Market Place W.

Thursday, March 31, 7 p.m. – Alan L. Bauer

Professional photographer Alan L. Bauer will talk about the Pacific Northwest hiking guides featuring his photography. Bauer specializes in photographing the adventure and beauty of local and natural history.

Sunday, April 3, 2 p.m. - Li Miao Lovett

Internationally acclaimed author Li Miao Lovett will give a multimedia presentation and discuss her new novel set in China, “In the Lap of the Gods.”  Copies of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of King’s Books.
