An Automotive Addition Joins Tacoma's Monthly Artwalk On Thursday

LeMay - America's Car Museum joins the lineup of museums and galleries offering extended hours and free admission from 5-8 p.m.

Three's company ... and four's just awesome.

This Thursday is the third of the month, which means it's the day of Tacoma's Artwalk, when area galleries and the city's major museums offer special extended evening hours and free admission.

And there's good news for University Place artsies/car buffs.

Joining the Museum of Glass, Tacoma Art Museum and Washington State History Museum for the first time is LeMay - America's Car Museum.

That's right, car lovers, you can get your fill of fancy vehicles and all the fixings for free between 5-8 p.m.

The participating galleries are: American Art Company, The Art Stop, B2 Fine Art Gallery, The Brick House Gallery, Tacoma Glassblowing Studio, Throwing Mud GalleryΒ and the William Traver Gallery.

Artwalk was launched in 1989 by a small, dedicated group of artists and gallery owners to help draw more patronage to the Downtown Tacoma arts scene.
