Author/Poet Event: Rachel Dilworth

Award-winning poet Rachel Dilworth will talk about her writing and her book of poems, “The Wild Rose Asylum.” Copies of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of King’s Books of Tacoma. Friends of the University Place Library sponsor this free event.

In poems that embrace both traditional and experimental forms, Dilworth’s work offers a multifaceted consideration of the historical phenomenon of Ireland’s Magdalen asylums, the largest and most controversial of which were run for 150 years, until 1996.
