Catch "The Goonies" For Free In University Place On Aug. 17

Pierce County Parks & Recreation, along with Metropolitan Market, are presenting the movie at Central Meadow at Chambers Creek Regional Park. The pre-dusk showing begins at 7 p.m.

"Chunk! Do the Truffle Shuffle!"

If you don't know this line or its history, then you need to watch the 1984 movie that children of that decade, including myself, spent watching.

You're in luck, too. Pierce County Parks & Recreation, along with Tacoma's Metropolitan Market, is offering a free showing of "The Goonies" for the whole family Aug. 17.

Oh yeah, it will be shown outside at , and families will have Puget Sound as a backdrop.

View the flyer in the media gallery for more information. And if you go, don't forget to bring your "Pinchers of Peril."

Anyone else have any favorite lines or characters from "The Goonies?" Tell us in the comments.
