Battle of the Bands Initial Rounds Set For This Weekend

University Place’s Second Annual Battle of the Bands featuring performances from local youths between the ages of 13 and 21. The Final Round will showcase the top winners in various genres and will take place on June 28 at the Curran Orchard.

Mission statement: To promote a love of music within the community, especially teenagers. To cultivate the younger bands necessary for a thriving local music scene. To provide a creative and safe outlet for teenagers to express themselves. To encourage the youth of University Place to become more involved with community activities such as the Free Orchard Summer Concert Series.
