Battle in the Orchard Selects Top Three Finalists

Watch up-and-coming music acts compete for best in show at the University Place 2013 Battle in the Orchard on Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Curran Apple Orchard.

It was a tough call, but the three contenders for the title of 2013 Battle in the Orchard winner have been chosen.

"The initial talent round went extremely well. We had a full day of both in-person as well as online auditions," said Battle in the Orchard organizer Kayla Stewart. "Bands entered from as far away as the Tri-cities and nearly every genre was represented."

The following three bands will compete at the Battle of the Orchard 2013 on June 27 at the Curran Apple Orchard in University Place:

Livey Beha -- alternative/pop singer-songwriter from Tacoma
Harvest States-- pop punk/rock band from Yelm
Audentia-- alternative rock band from Seattle

Stewart said the final selection was so close this year that one or two points made all the difference.

"We couldn’t be more excited to showcase these three insanely talented, young acts," said Stewart.

The 2013 Battle in the Orchard will be held on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Curran Apple Orchard Park, located at 3920 Grandview Drive West in University Place.

The show is free, all-ages and will also feature the winners of the first annual Battle of the Bands, The Whoopee Cats.
