Award-Winning Poet Rachel Dilworth To Speak At Library

The author of "The Wild Rose Asylum," her book of poems, will appear at the University Place Library on June 11.

Library-goers will get the chance to meet local poet Rachel Dilworth at 3 p.m., June 11 at the .

The award-winning producer of prose will talk about her writing and book of poems, "The Wild Rose Asylum." Copies of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of King's Books of Tacoma.

"In poems that embrace both traditional and experimental forms, Dilworth’s work offers a multifaceted consideration of the historical phenomenon of Ireland’s Magdalen asylums, the largest and most controversial of which were run for 150 years, until 1996," according to the Pierce County Library System.
