Winter Hours for Mount Rainier National Park Commence

Sunrise and Ohanapecosh Visitor Centers have closed for the year.

Mount Rainier National Park has updated its winter schedule this year. The Sunrise Visitor Center is closed as are all campgrounds and picnic areas. As of Tuesday, Oct. 9, the following areas remain open:

The road is open to the park entrance. The road is closed to vehicles beyond the entrance. Bicycle and pedestrian traffic is permitted beyond the entrance.

Climbers self-register at Old Paradise Ranger Station.
