Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Earned Eagle Scout Rank.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Jacob and Carter have been scouting since the early age of 8 years old. They have attended  weekly scout meetings, camp outs, hikes, summer camps and earned 21-plus merit badges (11 required and 1o choice). Both young men accomplished individual Eagle Scout projects: providing leadership to a group that volunteered over 60-plus hours towards their projects.  Jacob lead a group which painted a home for a family in the Paint Tacoma Beautiful project. Carter's project was Outdoor Lighting for the Amphitheater area of the Nisqually Recreation Property. Time, effort, work and supplies were donated for each project putting months of planning into weeks of work towards accomplishing the tasks.  Congratulations are in order for these two Whiz kids.  Only 1 percent of all scouts earn the Eagle Rank. Christen and Becki Blackner of University Place are the proud parents of Jacob. Mark and Marion Lybbert of University Place are the proud parents of Carter.
