Whiz Kid: Agustin Hussain is His Name, Volunteering is His Game
This week's Whiz kid Agustin has given 300-plus hours of community service this past year alone. He has worked almost two years for the local University Place Branch library.
Whiz Kid Nominee: Agustin Ali Hussain
Whiz Kid School: Curtis High School, sophomore
Whiz Kid Accomplishments: Agustin has given his time and talents to volunteering in our local community. He has been involved in service hours at the University Place Branch library, Camp Uplay, Cirque Slam, and fundraising efforts for the teen space at the new Library. One quote from a thank you letter to Agustin related--"your video helped donors understand the need for the teen space at the library" and "helped gather over $34,500 in donations." Giving of his time comes naturally to him as he has worked selflishly almost two years for the library. This past weekend he was on post again in costume as " Curious George" providing smiles and joy to the children visiting the new library.
