Vote For Your Favorite Design For The Pierce County Library Card

The library has selected 13 teen finalists for its competition that will decide the new look of its user cards.

A public vote will decide the next Pierce County Library System’s library card, designed by a local teenager. Pierce County residents may choose the winner by voting online at the Library’s website,www.piercecountylibrary.org search site card contest, now through July 27.

During a free contest 138 teenagers submitted designs for the next library card. Their art included submissions using pencil, pen, paint, camera and computer. Any teenager in grades 7 – 12 living or attending school in Pierce County was eligible to enter.

“The teenagers’ ideas, styles and true expressions shined through in all of the entries,” said Neel Parikh, executive director for Pierce County Library System. “We are excited to see which creation the public chooses as their favorite. All of the choices are unique and winners!”
