Funds from the book sales will help library events for children and adults as well as furnishings and other needs at the libraries.
If you're bargain-hunting for used books, Pierce County Library System will be hosting book sales at its local branches in August and September.
- University Place Pierce County Library, 3609 Market Place W., Suite 100, Saturday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 15, 1 – 3 p.m.
The book sales, hosted by Friends of the Libraries, will offer a variety of materials for all ages and interests, including hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction, children’s books, cookbooks, reference books, audiobooks, music and movies.
The used books, CDs and DVDs were donated by local residents, and funds from the book sales will help the Friends sponsor events for children and adults as well as furnishings and other needs at the libraries.
