The List is full of energy folks and is ready for a dance party.
Let's salsa. Hooray for Zumba. Hip-hop, make your body pop. A little Hawaiian hula fah you, bra?
Dancing is fun, energetic, social, and great exercise. It doesn't get much better than that.

1. Your local recreation department classes
Why Here: These classes are fun, affordable, and in your own backyard. Here's more.
University Place Parks and Recreation offers Polynesian dance, Tahitian dance, and zumba for adults (for the kids and teens, there's jazz, hip-hop, and ballet). Fircrest Parks and Recreation offers belly dancing (wow!) and zumba for adults (there's also zumba and pre-ballet for kids). Lakewood Parks and Recreation offers ballroom dance for adults, and Gig Harbor Parks and Recreation offers dance for the wee ones.
2. YMCA Pierce and Kitsap County
Why Here: The YMCA has a huge array of dance opportunites for adults and kids. For the adults, you can learn everything from ballet to hip hop and from jazz to tap.
3. Dance Theatre Northwest (University Place)
Why Here: Adult and teen classes are available for ballet, jazz, and tap for every ability. (Bonus: This neighborhood/local dance school puts on great performances, too)
4. The Abbey Ballroom (Tacoma)
Why Here: This gorgeous and historic ballroom (a renovated church) in the heart of downtown Tacoma boasts lots of dancing opportunities and dance events. You can learn everything from the tango to the hustle!
Why Here: This classic dance school offers all kinds of dance classes for all skill levels including dance classes for brides and grooms to be to learn special dances and skills for their big day!
