From the City of Tacoma:
To allow for improvements to an existing retaining wall, both southbound lanes of Schuster Parkway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, May 28 to July 19. One southbound lane will be open after 9 p.m. Northbound lanes remain unaffected.
Detour signs will direct traffic from southbound Schuster Parkway to South 4th Street, Dock Street and to downtown or I-705 via the South 15th Street ramp.

The Schuster Parkway sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians for two to three weeks during the road closure. Signs will notify pedestrians when the sidewalk is closed. The pedestrian detour will be the same as the vehicle detour. The contractor will not be working July 4 to July 7.
