'Little Free Library' Comes to Fircrest Tot Lot

Visit the Fircrest Tot Lot to find free books that young children can read and enjoy.

From the City of Fircrest:

The Fircrest Kiwanis is donating a Little Free Library for the Fircrest Tot Lot. Kiwanis has purchased the first round of children’s books to fill up a newly purchased Little Free Library at the city Tot Lot.

With the support of the City of Fircrest Parks and Recreation Department, they are installing the library on Wednesday, Aug. 14. There will be a "grand opening" ceremony at the Fircrest Tot Lot at 7 p.m.

Book donations can be dropped off at the City of Fircrest Community Center and should be geared towards children. The library will be maintained by the Fircrest Kiwanis Club.

Little Free Libraries are a community movement in the United States and worldwide that offers free books housed in small containers to members of the local community. They are also referred to as community book exchanges, book trading posts, and pop-up libraries, among other terms.
