Here Comes The Rain Again

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Pierce County from Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning.

Pierce County is expected to see heavy rains the rest of the week, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning.

"A warm frontal system will spread rain into Western Washington later tonight and Wednesday," according to the National Weather Service."The frontal band is expected to stall over the area for a 24- to 48-hour period producing heavy precipitation along the coast and mountains. Freezing levels will rise dramatically to 7,000 to 9,000 feet during the period, which raises the threat of flooding on some rivers."

According to the NWS, there is an 80 percent to 90 percent chance of rain until Thursday night. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-50s.
