Grab & Go Kid's Planner, April 20th

Patch has put together anoher a list of kid-friendly galore.

Sunday is likely full of family and Easter tradition but that doesn't mean there isn't other fun to be had this week.

When/Where: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Friday at Tacoma's Nature Center.

Why Go: Discover and explore the new pond and play area at Tacoma's Nature Center during this reserved period for young ones and their parents to take it all in.

Price: $3 per child, ages 2 - 7 years (no fee for parents)

 

When/Where: 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Boys and Girls Club of South Puget Sound.

Why Go: He're an excellent opportunity for teens to hone their acting skills using improv exercises in a fun group of like-minded teens. Think "Who's Line is it Anyway?," only for teens and sans Wayne Brady.

Price: $96, appropriate for ages 13 - 18 years old

Why Go: Get out with the kids and get moving! If you're feeling the middle of the week slump this will energize you, jump to your heart's content.

Spring Easter Egg Hunt

When/Where: Noon to 2 p.m., Saturday at Sehmel Homestead Park.

Why Go: Join the park for their 4th annual pre-Easter, Easter egg hunt for prizes, candy and a special appearance by a big bunny who knows what's up. A little premature Easter delight.

Price: Free

 

Tacoma Art Place

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday at Tacoma Art Place (check website for weekly details).

Why Go: As a member or non-member, there is access to arts and crafts supplies in a community space that costs nearly nothing! Classes vary monthly but there are paints, easels, sewing machines, fabric, brushes and more to help unleash those creative imps. Plus there's a special on membership rates until April 30, so check it out!

Price: $10 for a day pass, yearly rate special: $30 for individual, $50 for couples, $75 for family.
