GRAB AND GO KID'S PLANNER, June 30

Here's another weekly addition to the kid- and youth-friendly events in and around your town. This week, don't miss your chance to hear "Summer Nights."

Summer months don't mean kids have to sit inside all day missing their friends.

Get out and have fun! There's so much to keep them busy. Check out what we found:

When/Where: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday thru Fridays at Impact Sports Academy.

Why Go: Ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade, your little (or not so little athlete) can hone his or her sportsman skills. From agility, soccer, volleyball and basketball, Impact Sports has you covered for a summer full of activity.

Price: $69-$100.

 

When/Where:  11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday at Tacoma Narrow's Airport.

Why Go: Tacoma Narrow's Airport plays host to "Wings and Wheels," a pre-Fourth of July  celebration. With features like a hot rod show, aircraft displays and food vendor, you and your tyke can "ooh" and "aah" the day away.

Price: 6 years and under free, ages 7-17 $5, Adults $12.

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday at the Tacoma Children's Museum.

Why Go: Toddler-friendly activities from building skills with legos and socialization to crafts. A free trip to the Children's Museum creates picture-perfect moments and lets some energy out for those rainy days or breaks from the sun.

Price: Free.

 

When/Where: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday thru Fridays at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Puget Sound.

Why Go: Fieldtrips outdoors, crafts, computers and more. Another great opportunity to stay active during these summer months and meet up with and make new friends.

Price: Varies on activity.

 

When/Where: 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday at Paradise Theater.

Why Go: "Grease" is a classic by any standards and can be appreciated by all genres, whether it's the storyline or music. Take the family and shimmy in the car on the way home to "Grease Lightening!"

Price: $8 - $20 per seat.
