GRAB AND GO KIDS PLANNER, July 27

Here's another round of a family friendly events that you can use to guide the upcoming week.

You can still soak in some summer delights before it's back to books and pencils.

Movie favorites, sports, games and more festival adventures - sounds like we don't want to give up on summer yet:

When/Where: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., daily at Impact Sports Academy.

Why Go: Volleyball, soccer, football, basketball and tennis drills, practice and games will help hone those athletic skills over the summer days while we all eagerly await for the school year to begin.

Price: $69 - $100 (Grades K through 8th).

 


When/Where: 8:15 p.m., Saturday at .

Why Go: Whether you're team Jacob or team Edward, this double feature showing both Twilight: New Moon and Eclipse will get you either caught up on the popular series or give you a good opportunity to rewatch your fave vampire/werewolf/girl love triangle. Test your Twilight knowledge with some trivia pre-movie. One lucky person will win a prize. Could it be you?

Price: $2 per person.

 

When/Where: Saturday and Sunday in Wright Park.

Why Go: Immerse yourself in the cultural diversity that builds our community with the sights, smells and flavors of Tacoma's Ethnic Fest. There will be tons of merchandise and food vendors featuring cultural beauty, culinary delights and education. Not to mention entertainment of all sorts on two separate stages. Music. Dancing. Singing. And more.

Price: Free.

 

Rainiers Baseball

When/Where: 7:05 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 1:35 p.m., Sunday at Cheney Stadium.

Why Go: Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks! Need I say more? How about Friday night fireworks at the end of the game! Rhubarb the Reindeer will be there as well.

Price: $7 - $25 per seat.

 

When/Where: 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Lakewold Gardens.

Why Go: The Second City Chambers presents classical musical masterpieces while you and the family can picnic and enjoy. There will also be a garden themed silent auction at the event beginning at 6:30, with proceeds going to benefit the Second City Chamber Series.

Price: $32 Regular Admission/$29 Seniors-Military/$10 Students/Under 18 free.
