Grab and Go Kid's Planner, Feb. 23rd

Patch is whipping about another round of things to do in your area with the family.

Although the sunshine has finally joined us, her warmth has not.

Patch has dug up some ideas for family fun that will keep you cozy and entertained and in some cases in awe.

1. 

Find out what's happening in University Placewith free, real-time updates from Patch.

When/Where:  3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays at Impact Sports Academy.

Why Go: Fun activity sessions are designed to bring kids to the game of tennis. Specialized equipment and smaller court sizes allow for kids of all ages to become engaged in playing a new sport.

Price: $10 per day or $30 for all four days.

 

2. 

When/Where: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday through Friday at the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound.

Why Go: Fun activities from the gym to the art room and computer lab for ages 6-18 years.

Price: $10 Current Members, $25 New Members.

 

3. Happy Birthday Elmo!

When/Where: 2 p.m., Saturday at Borders Books Gig Harbor and Tacoma branches.

Why Go: While Elmo will be celebrating his third birthday on Sesame Street and unable to attend, Borders will celebrate with Elmo-themed stories, crafts and more. Perfect for kids 3-6 years old.

Price: Free

 

4. Imago Theater Presents~ ZooZoo

When/Where: 3 p.m., Sunday at the Pantages Theater.

Why Go: A stage show to mesmerize the whole family. With whimsical animal costumes performers perform comedy, illusion and circus worthy stunts accompanied by original music.

Price: $19 or $29 per seat.

 

5. 

When/Where: 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday at the Lakewood Pierce County Library.

Why Go: All things manga, cosplay and anime! Teens can come talk, draw and watch with like minds.

Price: Free

 

6. 

When/Where: 3:45 p.m., Tuesday at the Harbor History Museum.

 Why Go: As a family you can enjoy creative crafts, fun games and stories followed conveniently by a visit to the gallery. Kids of all ages are welcome.

Price: Free for Members, Regular Museum Admission plus $1 for Non-Members.
