Grab and Go Kid's Planner, April 8th

Grab our weekly, kid-focused calender and go have some fun!

All events featured this weekend celebrate the coming together of community and the season of spring and are free!

That will put a little spring in your step. Here's the rundown:

Tacoma - 10:15 a.m.

Puyallup - 12:45 p.m.

Sumner - 2:30 p.m.

Orting - 5:00 p.m.

Why Go: Entering its 78th year, the Grand Floral Street Parade features 40 floats adorned with fresh daffodils, marching bands and other entertainment, parading the streets of our cities. This is an event that truly kicks off spring and leaves the kids "oohing" and "aahing."

Price: Free.

 

When/Where: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturdays in the Proctor District, Tacoma.

Why Go: Tis the season to indulge in fresh produce and local wares. Proctor's Market will often feature kid-friendly things to do, music to listen to and snacks to munch on.

Price: Free.

 

When/Where: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Saturday at the University Place Library.

Why Go:  Learn about flight, airplanes and the mystique of it all,  with a hands on project with the folks of Museum of Flight.

Price: Free.

 

When/Where: 6:30 p.m., Friday at Fox Island Alliance Church.

Why Go: Movie Night just got a little more interesting with free popcorn and candy. Not to mention it's an excellent excuse to meet up with your neighbors and chat afterwards.

Price: Free.

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at Fox Island Alliance Church.

Why Go: Celebrate Easter early with carnival games, an Easter egg hunt and more! Fun for the whole family after some rest following that successful movie night.
