National Night Out gave UP residents an opportunity to socialize and bond with their neighbors.

University Place celebrated National Night Out on Aug. 6, with a record-breaking 47 neighborhoods participating.

The UP Police Department and West Pierce Fire and Rescue came around to visit the neighborhoods and keep them informed on how to prevent crime. Ashley Jackson, also known as Miss University Place, made the rounds as well, along with City government officials.
