Eastbound State Route 16 To Close Thursday Night
Crews will close all eastbound SR 16 lanes at South Union Avenue, along with the South Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16. During the closures, traffic will be detoured.
Motorists will find eastbound State Route 16 closed Thursday night while crews take pavement core samples as part of the I-5/SR 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project.
At 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, crews will close all eastbound SR 16 lanes at South Union Avenue, along with the South Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16. During the closures, traffic will be detoured via South Union Avenue. The lanes and ramp will reopen by 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4.
The pavement core samples will be used to verify pavement depth in preparation for constructing the eastbound SR 16 on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5.
