Bites Nearby: The Greener Bean

Taking a look at some local gems in ways of sips and bites in Fircrest.

Nuggets of goodness in the form of eateries can be found here, there and everywhere, even in towns that are residential in nature.

Take our suburban neighbor joined at the hip, Fircrest, for example. Located on the city's main "strip" that is Regents Boulevard is a little place called The Greener Bean.

You should avoid confusing this with so many other coffee shops that are filled with personality but are still so much like so many others. The Greener Bean is an oasis of coffee and tea goodies. As well as a menu of delectable items like house made pastries, meaty panini sandwiches and breakfast.

I've sang the praise of Mad Hat Tea in downtown Tacoma many times in the past for their rarely surpassed delightful loose leaf teas. The good news is you can enjoy some of their selection at The Greener Bean. (I could squeal like a girl, you have no idea, don't say I didn't warn you)

And the setting offers movie scene perfection with comfy chairs and tables, book lined walls and a warm ambiance. Cafe staples like electrical outlets and free wifi are available. While bonuses like a conference room available for rent for your special occasions like business meetings and baby showers are available, The Greener Bean caters to local workaholics who find it hard to leave their desk by offering box lunch delivery.

And to top off it all off with whip cream and a cherry, The Greener Bean features events like free concerts and children's books readings. Coffee? Check. Yummy Food? Check. Delivery? Check. Events and Entertainment? Check. Talk about a hefty list of reasons to pop by.
