VIDEO: A University Place Soldier Overseas Sends Holiday Greetings To His Family Back Home

Army Chief Warrant Officer William Smith is serving in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Even from halfway across the globe, William Smith's words are pretty powerful.

Simply put, the chief warrant officer in the Army - currently serving in Kabul Afghanistan - wants to say Merry Christmas and happy holidays to his wife and two boys in University Place.

Smith is one of more than 100 soldiers from Washington, many of whom are from the South Sound, who were allowed to record video messages for family through the Department of Defense.
