Surrendered School of the Arts Celebrates 5 years!

Surrendered School of the Arts (SSA), the non-profit arts studio of Paradosi Ballet Company, is celebrating five years of instructing students in ballet, hip hop, tap, and music lessons. SSA was founded on January 18, 2009 in Edgewood, WA. Directors Joel and Tennille Carver are honored and encouraged by the outpouring of support they have received from friends, family and students at SSA’s four locations!

SSA is celebrating this milestone with a Facebook tuition giveaway, a retrospective slideshow on their website and Facebook Page, and Invite a Friend Month during February.

In just five years, SSA has offered over 225 classes and instructed over 775 students. SSA has grown from a single-room studio in a renovated 7-Eleven in Edgewood, WA to a 7,000 square foot professional facility in South Tacoma with three satellite campuses across the South Sound, enrichment classes at Cascade Christian Schools, and technical classes for the Orting High School Dance Team.

Registration for classes at all of SSA’s four South Sound locations remains open to students ages 2 –16 through March 1, 2014. SSA offers instruction in the arts at their locations in South Tacoma, North Tacoma, Auburn, and Orting, WA.

Surrendered School of the Arts is the non-profit arts studio of Paradosi Ballet Company, the Northwest’s first professional Christian ballet company. SSA was founded in Edgewood, WA in January 2009 by directors Joel and Tennille Carver. The Carvers began the school with the vision to teach the next generation of students how to develop their gifts in the arts and to dedicate themselves to encouraging and mentoring students. SSA’s teachers have been called from across the country to excel in their art, as well as to strive toward the highest goal of intimacy in their walk with God.  SSA’s easily accessible locations offer professionally trained instructors with extensive classroom experience in mentoring students of all ages.

Now located in Tacoma, WA, SSA has expanded to include satellite campuses in Orting, North Tacoma, and Auburn, as well as enrichment classes at Cascade Christian Schools and technical classes for the Orting High School Dance Team. SSA strives to be a positive voice of encouragement to students in the surrounding communities. No matter the location, SSA’s heart for excellence in teaching and training remains the same.
