Congratulations to Frank Powell who won a Silver medal at the National Senior Games in Cleveland, Ohio in the 500 yard free style! Frank swam five events in the males 50 to 54 age group: Silver in the 500 free style, Bronze in the 200 back, 4th place 100 back, 5th place 200 free style and 6th place 50 back. He encourages people of all ages, especially seniors ages 50 to 100, to get active and stay physically active for health and friendship. He trained and encouraged his wife, Laura, to participate in the 5K run through the Cleveland Zoo and she placed 9th in her age group. He swims and trains with his daughter, Valerie, and she participates in US Master Swim meets with him. Frank also participated in the Houston Senior Games in 2011.
