Today in UP: 47 Block Parties Registered for National Night Out
National Night Out is being celebrated at a record 47 neighborhoods across University Place on Tues., August 6, 2013.
University Place is taking back the streets this Tues., Aug. 6 for National Night Out. A record 47 block parties are registered, said UP Public Safety Manager Jennifer Hales.
National Night Out will involve over 15,704 communities from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 37.5 million people are expected to participate in "America’s Night Out Against Crime."
We've posted the map of National Night Out block parties here on Patch--and there's a lot of them! The fun begins when the cruisers leave the West Pierce Fire and Rescue station at 5:30 p.m.
